Is Qio compatible with Rocket RAID 2322, 2522 or 2722? My ethernet connections are not working when the Qio is plugged in. I installed the P2 card driver, but my P2 card is only being recognized in one slot. I removed my CF card using "Eject" and now the Qio isn't working. (Note that this requires that you first run the Qio driver installation.) You must free space by disabling one or more unused option ROMs in BIOS. The Qio BIOS takes some of this space to do the PCI bus re-arrangement and to enable hot plug. The BIOS option ROM space is a limited resource and your machine has run out of BIOS option ROM space. My computer reports "not enough option ROM space" during BIOS startup. You can verify that the Qio BIOS software is loading by checking to see the Sonnet banner in the BIOS startup. Because some PC's BIOS's do not allocate space for empty PCI slots, you may need to boot your PC with a card installed in one of the slots in the Qio. The Qio BIOS software is not running and it must run to re-arrange the PCI busses. My Qio works, but I when I inject a card, I get a yellow warning in device manager. Often this can be fixed by moving the Qio PCIe expander to a different slot. There is not enough I/O space for the Compact Flash drivers to start. There is a very limited resource in PCI I/O space in PCs. My Qio works, but my Compact Flash cards show up as disabled. I moved my Qio from a Mac to Windows and hot plug doesn't work at all.
Install Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) to solve this issue.
After that, neither inject or eject works. In my Windows Vista machine, I was only able to eject an Express/34 card only once. Sonnet is developing an update that will allow hot plug. \f1 The CF cards use a hard disk IDE driver that does not expect hot plugging. Go into device manager and "Scan for new Devices" to see an insertion or ejection. Turn off the SERR generation in BIOS setup. I get the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) when I remove an SxS Card.
